Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon set for Latitude Festival trip

Latitude Festival have managed to lure comedy impresario Steve Coogan away from reviewing restaurants around Britain and to the wild coast of Suffolk for this year’s annual festival.

Coogan is set to be joined by Rob Brydon, his co-star in The Trip for an informal chat about the series which was a hit late last year in the Film and Music arena.

The festival has become a mainstay of the comedy festival circuit since its launch six years ago, with stalwarts such as Phill Jupitus, Jon Richardson, Robin Ince and Omid Djalili heading to the festival this year.

Among the musical treats on offer are Suede, Paolo Nutini and The National.

Other comedy acts, - and there are as usual too many to mention – include the excellent Greg Davies, Tom Wrigglesworth, Rob Rouse, Seann Walsh, John Shuttleworth, Roisin Conaty, Doc Brown, Josh Widdicombe, Nick Helm, Idiots Of Ants, Lady Garden, Katherine Ryan.

Tania Harrison, Programmer of the Arts Arenas said: “Each year it’s a challenge to bring new and interesting performances to Latitude but I’m especially excited about this year’s line up.

“The Faraway Forest has developed this year and will host the Outdoor Theatre and also The Winter’s Ball which will be transformed into a Narniaesque spectacle on Saturday night.

“There are quite a few artists, comics, authors and collaborations still to be announced so without wanting to give it all away I think this will be the best year yet!”
