London stand-up Jimmy Bird has won the Latitude new comedy act award.
His routine on abuse at the hands of IT staff at work and children's TV won over the judges.
Commenting on the win, Jimmy said he was going to spend the £500 prize money on 'booze and food'.
He also wins a slot in the Caberet Arena on Sunday night.
Suzi Ruffell came second, winning £250 for her routine on lesbian life.
Angela Barnes and Matt Richardson also performed in hope of winning the award.
SSP is hoping to hunt down Jimmy over the course of the afternoon for a chat so watch this space...
In the meantime, read our review of the four nominees here.
